Rachel was born in Brownsville, TX on February 6, 1958 and moved with her family to the Central Valley at an early age. She attended Tranquility High School and graduated from Dos Palos High School. Soon after high school she joined the United States Air Force to pursue her career. She had many travels during her career; she married, had children and returned to Kerman, California to be near her extended family. Rachel was diagnosed with cancer and battled courageously for 6 years; she passed away peacefully on February 24, 2015 at Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno, California.
She was one of nine children born to David Rodriguez and late mother Lucia Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Senaida Perez, grandfather Alberto Ruiz, mother Lucia Rodriguez, and grandson Jordon Giboney. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Bryant for 30 years. Rachel will always be remembered by her loving siblings Gloria Dominguez and husband John, David Rodriguez and fiancé Beverly Lawrence, Carlos Rodriguez, Virginia Guevara, Sylvia Valdez and husband John, Javier Rodriguez and wife Maria, John Rodriguez and wife Rosemary, and Roy Rodriguez, beloved step daughters and daughters Michele Bryan and husband Jason, Brandy Hernandez and husband Jose, Andria Giboney and husband Ryan, and Kelly Bryant and fiancé Brock Lang, treasured grandchildren Ava, Blake, Joseph, Kaiden, Madison, Makayla, Mia, Reagan, Ryker, Rylee, and Taylor, along with countless other family and friends whom were blessed to know her.
She was a very strong and loving woman; she had a passion for cooking and spent considerable time making her home comfortable and inviting. She loved to entertain family and friends and all the time with a sincere smile. Rachel touched our life with that smile, but her generosity was second to none, she was generous with her time as a caregiver, and opened her doors to many who needed a hand and never asked for anything in return. Rachel was a true giver and pillar to everyone she called family. We will miss her.
