Robert Clement Caire

Robert Clement Caire – Robert (Bob) Caire, 85, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife, Cherye, beside him on December 29th, 2022. He was born May 20, 1937 in Fresno, the only child of Virginia and Clement Caire. Bob graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School class of 1955 where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Lynn Russo. His greatest passion was his family, and he and Patricia were blessed with 3 beautiful daughters. Patricia sadly passed away in 1978. In 1996, Bob met Cherye Asoian, and they were happily married for 25 years.

Bob was larger than life and was a very social person. His charisma led him to have several successful businesses in his lifetime as an entrepreneur. He was also active in many clubs and organizations, especially the Dante Club, where he was known as “Mr. Braciole”.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Patricia, and father-in law Vernon Poochigian. He is survived by his wife, Cherye, daughters Cathy Elliott and significant other, Dave Jorn, Christina Caire, and Kellee Ford and husband, Dennis, grandchildren Anthony and Patrick Elliot, and Robert Hudson, great grandson Tyson Elliot, brother-in-law Craig Poochigian, as well as many relatives and lifelong friends.

A rosary will be held at Whitehurst Chapel at 4 pm on January 8th 2023. Funeral services will be held at Holy Spirit Church on 10:00 am Jan 9th, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America.

A visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave, Fresno, California 93720. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 4:00 PM, 836 E Nees Ave, Fresno, California 93720. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, January 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 355 E Champlain Dr, Fresno, California 93730. A committal service will occur Monday, January 9, 2023 at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave, Fresno, California 93706.
