Born on November 26, 1958, Robert, affectionately known as Rob, was a compassionate individual who touched the lives of many. Rob was married to Laurie Silva for 27 wonderful years. His three children, Skyler, Bethany, and Peyton, were his life, and he loved them loudly and fiercely. Rob always made sacrifices to help his kids achieve their dreams, often bragging to anyone who would listen about their various accomplishments.
Rob had a real passion for riding motorcycles, especially his Indian Chief, and he enjoyed being in nature, often taking long rides to various natural parks and other scenic locations. He loved working out and staying fit, and was a huge fan of the movie Tombstone, often quoting it. Rob's favorite quote from Tombstone, "The Last Charge of Wyatt Earp and His Immortals," was so meaningful to him that he had it tattooed on his arm. In fact, a memorable highlight of Rob's when asked was his dream trip to Tombstone, Arizona. Rob enjoyed cars as well, and also owned a project Porsche 944, which he tirelessly worked on to restore.
Rob was actively involved in church groups and motorcycle riding clubs, joining together and participating in different events such as Toys for Tots. Rob was a very compassionate person, and was always willing to help anyone in need, whether they were hungry and homeless or stranded on the side of the road and needed a jump. He was also god-fearing, and expressed his love for his children through frequent love notes and devotionals, often shared via text. Rob's legacy is his three children, of whom he was immensely proud, no matter what. It is a legacy of love, laughter, devotion, and fun.
Rob is survived by his spouse, Laurie, and his children, Skyler, Bethany, and Peyton. He is also survived by his father, Bob Silva and his wife Carolyn, and his sisters, Pam Powell and Cindy Silva. Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Roxanna Silva, and his brother Mark Harrelson.
A memorial service for Rob will be held at CrossCity Christian Church, located at 2777 E Nees Ave, Fresno, California, 93720, starting at 10:00 am on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Rob's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has reached out and offered love and support during this difficult time.
