Robert or "Bob" as he was known to most, graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1947 and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. He retired from the United States Bureau of Reclamation in 1984.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Isabelle "Dolly" M. Tello; four children, Howard Tello and wife Alicia, Bill Tello and wife Patty, Lennette Hopkins and husband Rod, Diane Keohen and husband Phil; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Robert was the oldest of eight children and left behind six sisters and one brother.
A Memorial Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, remembances may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
