Left to cherish his memory are his children Daniel Schafer and wife Rita Schafer, Kenneth Schafer, and Christie Kiessling and husband Robert Kiessling; grandchildren Daniel Schafer, Jr. and Andrew Schafer., along with nieces and nephews. Rondel is preceded in death by Yvonne Schafer, his wife of 61 years, father, Lloyd Schafer, mother, Sue Demick, brother, Richard Schafer, sister, Irene Finneran, and daughter-in law JoAnn Schafer. Rondel is also survived by his half-sister, Lisa Ohara, nieces, and nephews, to cherish his loving memory.
A celebration of Rondel’s life is scheduled on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11:30 a.m., at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home located at 836 E. Nees Ave, Fresno, CA, 93720. Pastor Kevin Smith will officiate the ceremony with a reception immediately following.

Rondel and Yvonne Schafer’s final resting place will be in the mausoleum at the Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Avenue, Hayward, CA, 94542 on December 5, 2023.
