Rose Olono passed away to be with our Lord on Monday, February 11, 2013. She was born in Anaheim, Ca. on April 10, 1928. She was raised in Fowler before settling in Fresno with her husband Charles, and raising four children.
Rose was a prayerful and devout Catholic, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and selfless volunteer of her time and energy. Her charitable contributions reached everyone from children at Sacred Heart School to the poor, where she donated her time through the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years building Christmas food baskets with her husband. For this she was recognized by the Fresno Bee. She also worked for the Fresno Unified School District as a baker and cook, retiring in 1994.
Among everything else, Rose will be remembered as an avid crocheter, winning first place at the Fresno Fair, and for her delicious chocolate chip cookies! From a Den mother to participating in Bible groups, Rose touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
Rose is survived by Charles, her loving husband of over 60 years; her sons, Charles and Frank; her daughters, Charlida and Lisa; their spouses; and 11 grandchildren
