Sandra Carol Price, devoted servant of Christ and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on February 19, 2026, at the age of 85. Her life was marked by her faith in God, love for her family and commitment to serving others through the church.
Sandra was born on April 7, 1940, in Abernathy, Texas, to Paul and Lena Allen. She was the daughter of a hard-working dairy technician who moved west and settled in the San Joaquin Valley. She graduated as Valedictorian at Escalon High School and Summa Cum Laude from Fresno State, becoming the first in her family to earn a college degree. She earned a Master of Divinity from Golden Gate Seminary at age 64, reflecting her lifelong passion for studying and teaching God’s Word.
Sandra worked as a teacher and social worker, but felt her greatest calling was her family, for which she willingly set aside her career. She was a devoted mother who created a home characterized by love and stability. After her children were in school, she spent her mornings at Fort Washington Elementary School as a volunteer math teacher, where she specialized in making ratios, proportions, and percentages fun for kids to learn.
Sandra faithfully served the church for her entire adult life - more than 25 years at Harvard Terrace Baptist Church and the past 25 years at Family Community Church. She served in college, youth and women’s ministries, led Bible studies, and most recently coordinated a greeting ministry. Yet beyond any title or role, she will be remembered for her dedication to daily prayer and her consistent, caring outreach to those meeting difficult challenges. Much of her empathy for those suffering came from her personal experiences as a three-time cancer survivor.
Sandra lived out the words of the Bible, and we trust she was welcomed into Heaven with the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lena Allen, and her sister, Paula Wieland.
She is survived by her husband, Steve; her sons, Stephen and Noel; her daughter-in-law, Michelle; her brother-in-law, Gregg Wieland, her niece, Diana Gilmore; her nephew, Jeff Angle; and her beloved granddaughters, Brooklyn and Olivia, who added joy to the latest season of her life.
Sandra’s life will be celebrated for her legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to bless all who experienced her.
