Shizuko Takeuchi

Shizuko (Uyemura) Takeuchi was born on September 30, 1929 to Kazuyo and Hatsuso Uyemura in Caruthers. She passed away on January 12, 2022 in Clovis at 92. She was the seventh of eight children. She is pre-deceased by husband Harry Takeuchi, her parents and siblings Sam, Toyoko, Yosh, Susumu, Tadao and Isamu Uyemura. She is survived by sister Yaeko Iwai and children Wayne, Norman (Nadine), Aileen (Larry) Parmeter and Diane Eskelsen and grandchildren Kayla Takeuchi, Cara (Nader Badri) and Hannah Eskelsen, and Nathan Parmeter. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, many sister-in-laws as well as nephews and nieces. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gatherings with both families and north Fresno community neighbors and friends. The family extends their thanks to Green Gables and Vintage Gardens Assisted Living for caring for her the past 12 years and to Dr. Dennis Nakata who was her physician for the past 40 years. A private service was held.
