Thomas graduated from South Dakota University and interned at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He then worked as a pharmacist in the vast central valley, 15 years of which were at University Medical Center, Fresno. His career spanned 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Fern Kraft.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Elisa; sons Christopher and Julian Gonzales; daughter Stefani Wright and her husband, Rod; brothers Mike Kraft and Robert Kraft and his wife Cathy; niece Michelle Gomez; and 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
