Tsuruko Namba

Tsuru was raised in Visalia, California. She married Isamu "Sam" Namba in 1942. They were interned in Poston, Arizona during the war, where their son, Bill was born in 1943. After the war, the family lived in Salt Lake City, Utah. They moved to Fresno where her husband opened his dental office. Their daughter, Leslee was born in 1951, followed by their son, Ross in 1956.

She was a member of the Fresno Betsuin Buddhist Women's Association and the Senior Club.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of 2 West, ICU, and 4 East at St. Agnes Medical Center for their care and compassion.

Tsuru is reunited with her husband; her son, Ross; her parents; and two brothers.

She is survived by her son, Bill Namba and his wife Jo Ann; daughter, Leslee Namba; grandchildren, Michelle Namba; Kristy Namba Young and her husband Richard; Joseph Paz and his wife Joy; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Namba Young, and Athena and Atom Paz.

Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Thursday, June 21, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Fresno Betsuin Family Dharma Center at 2720 E. Alluvial, Clovis, Ca. 93611 on Friday, June 22, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
