

WillieMae McCrummen, of Clovis, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012 at age 92. She was born in Richmond, CA on September 12, 1919. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, James B. McCrummen. Her family moved when she was 3 months old and lived her entire life in the Fresno/Clovis area. She attended public schools in Fresno, including graduation from Roosevelt High School in 1938. She was also a 1939 graduate of the Central California Commercial College. She was an accountant for the Fresno State College Association and the Accounting Supervisor for the Clovis Unified School District. She was a long time member and past Matron of the La Sierra-Venus Chapter, Order of Eastern Star as well as past Queen of the Sharon Temple #92, Daughters of the Nile. The many women she mentored during her community activities will remember her for her encouragement, loyalty, and friendship. "She loved her family, friends, as well as her arts & crafts." Two sons, D.B. McCrummen of Fresno and J.B. McCrummen of the Seattle area survive her. She also has two Grandchildren, Lisa McCrummen and Christopher McCrummen, and three great grand children, all in the Seattle area. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Clovis Cemetery. A Celebration of her life will be held immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers and any remembrances may be made to the Shriners' Hospitals for Children through the Daughters of the Nile Foundation c/o the Sharon Temple #92, PO Box 8268, Fresno, CA 93727.
