Yolanda migrated to the United States in 1968 where she arrived in Miami. Only three years after having her first born of five and only daughter, Veronica Castillo, who she returned to Guatemala for later but not before traveling to New York City where she worked and had her second born Eric Davila in 1969. Shortly after her father suddenly and tragically passed away, which was the reason she went back to Guatemala where she gave birth to her third child, Jose Davila in 1971.
A few years later in Los Angeles, Yolanda met her loving partner Encarnacion Sosa and father to her last set of boys, Marco Sosa and Octavio Sosa. The family planted roots in Mendota, CA and Yolanda resided there for the last four decades working in restaurants as a cook, in the agricultural industry, and later as a county caretaker to many little ones who were dropped off to be watched by her as their baby sitter.
