Andy, mate, it’s been several months since you passed. You’ve popped up in my thoughts, especially since I recently lost my Father in Law the same way. You and I had a few pints at the pub, talked footie and played footie more times than I can recall. You always had a massive smile and were a joy to talk to. I’m praying for your family, your daughter and friends. I pray you found the peace you were looking for. 

I hadn't seen you in such a while, but you got married, had a beautiful daughter and life just has a way of keeping us busy. But we spoke recently and you sounded good and told me how happy your daughter made you. We had plans to take our dogs to the dog park. I wish I had known how much pain you were truly in. I hope your daughter remembers how much you loved her. All my love to her and your parents. 💔 Leah

I remember the day we met Andy. Our boys were very young and ready to play soccer.  We signed them up for a Red Bulls camp and decided to host one of the trainers. We were nervous about it, because we had never done anything like that before and felt it was a bit odd to have a random stranger living in our house.  However, my gut was telling me to do it, so we did.  It was July 4, 2007 and we were celebrating with a backyard BBQ.  In walked 4 Red Bulls trainers. Our boys were in awe of them. We welcomed them with open arms, handed them each a beer and some food. After chatting and getting to know them, I leaned over to my sister (while pointing at Andy) and said ‘I hope that one is the one coming home with us’. As luck would have it, Andy was ours.   The connection was so strong that I can’t even put it into words.  From the moment we met him, it felt like we knew him forever.   Even though our boys are older now, they would still get so excited at the mere mention of his name and loved every minute they had with him. He was the ‘fun big brother’ (as he always called himself).   Now my heart is shattered into pieces.  It is hard to imagine life without Andy, but I hope he is finally at peace.  Forever in our hearts.   We love and miss you!

Andy or Duke or Duca as we used to call him at varying times had such a fizz of energy and a light heart, he always brought the best out of a group. The speech from his mate could have been written by any of us in Cott and that's a testiment to his character, he always made friends well. Those songs, chants & jokes are what I'll always remember the most. Especially the classic 'we're on the piss' which was traditionally sung on the top deck of the 105 bus. Our heart goes out to his wonderful loving parents who so graciously hosted all the boys on a couple of occasions, and his sister and of course Jasmine & Belle.
 
Duke you'll be missed mate, the boys are getting together tomorrow night & there'll be a few drinks poured for you.

Graham, Julia and Helen are thoughts and love are with you at this difficult time.  
Andrew was a loving son and brother and  it is lovely to read that he was so admired and loved by so many people.  

We had a blast singing Spice Girls and playing pool that night just a few weeks ago. I’ll never forget you. You’ll always hold a special  piece of my heart Andrew.

As a good friend of Helen’s I would often hear your sister tell me stories about you. We had some banter at your sister and John’s wedding. You were funny and made me laugh .

Andrew mate, you are one of a kind, everyone knows that, the energy and vibes you gave off poured onto everyone around you in so many ways, I mean you somehow managed to convince a whole pub across the pond to support Newcastle… such a character with so much passion. You truly are one of my closest pals and you made my transition to America a lot smoother with our bond from the motherland and the beautiful game. Your going to be missed in so many ways… rest easy and love you brother!!xx

Andrew was a special match day mate at Newcastle who grew from the young blond boy giving his Dad a cuddle to a man about town with wings to America. Just so pleased I have an everlasting memory of him from his last home game at the Toon (vs. Norwich 30/11/21) with Julia and Graham. He leaves the world but will always be looking down, keeping an eye on things. And, I will always look up and think of him, in his special corner of the Gallowgate cheering on the Mags.


Just wanted to say how very sorry I am to hear this sad news. I fondly remember Andy’s infectious energy, humour and unwavering love for Newcastle United from our teenage years. My love and thoughts go out to his family x

I'll always remember Andrew as a larger than life person who never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed. We met through our love for the beautiful game and I always enjoyed the banter with him. Only knew Andy for couple years and through soccer , but he was a remarkable funny chap and witty , loved the banter , so sad when I saw this news and hope your feeling better now .lots of love and blessings to your family man . Howay The Lads

I met Andy through the Mesquite Outlaws. Such a smart, funny and kind man. Praying for comfort for all who love him. Truly heartbreaking. 

We met when you were coaching Soccer shots. As soon as I heard the accent I went back to Tim to say ‘Hey Tyler has an English coach’ I was so excited.

I still remember you coming round for dinner and Tyler was excited to show off his rabbit to you. I had the pleasure to make your wedding cake, and to celebrate with you.

I’m so sorry life turned out the way it did. You were always so happy, all those kids you trained loved you.

I spoke to Andy several times while he was with the Outlaws. We had several very interesting and beautiful conversations. He was so nice and I felt like he was a kindred spirit. I really wish I had known him better but I will always hold his memory in my heart. I am very sorry to his family, he spoke  of you in our talks. 

One of the hardest things I had to write. Andrew Di Duca, good-bye my friend. I met you in 2007 as we were part of the New York Red Bulls coaching community. We struck an immediate friendship, exploring what NYC had to offer to two young lads. I'll miss our MLS U-turns trying to navigate the Tri-State area. The Camps in Yonkers, NY and I will remember fondly our time on top of the old Giants Stadium filming Red Bulls games, getting the nice foods and snacks for the media group, with the City Skyline to the right of us. I'll miss the late night hookah bars in Alphabet City. The free pizzas with beers at the Crocodile Lounge in East Village and the Charleston in Brooklyn. I'll miss the Steroid Chicken Wings and Pitches of Margaritas at Life Cafe. Though most of all I'll miss seeing and talking to you! You loved life to the fullest and loved people so much that in the end I don't think we loved you back equally till now, till we knew what a true friend is suppose to be. 
I'm sorry I wasn't a good enough friend to recognize your lowest or you felt that you could not reach out in your time of need. A time where you needed to feel the type of love that you give to everyone else. 
I knew how much family meant to you and most of all how much Bella was the light of your life. I hope she grows up knowing the type of Dad you are! Fun, loving GIRL DAD!!! I'll miss you forever, DUKE!

A great friend and true Geordie! Passionate about his little girl and about his team. Andy always wanted to make others smile, laugh and be happy. His personality was infectious. He will be greatly missed. Rest easy brother!

The Duke! Catching up over a beer in 'The Strawberry' before the Brentford game in November will always stay with me now mate! My kids will never know how lucky they are to have met you and at St James Park of all places! From the days of Dukes Tours of NYC  with the Red Bulls, to being one of the few fellow Geordie fans I knew, to even just recently planning on getting together in Texas or Miami in the coming weeks / months, I am just lost for words! I will miss you mate, and will continue to raise a Newcy Brown Ale many times in your honor! Howay The LAD! 

Andy and I met during a Newcastle game that I came to with Steve and Mischelle. I loved him from that day on. I will miss singing and dancing with you during the hard times of Newcastle… I wish I could have been there for you buddy. “Don’t take me home…”

I first met Andy, on flying start (2004) that was a summer school for UCLAN students starting in September. His role was to look after us and show us all around Preston. I remember thinking I wish I had that sort of confidence, whilst watching Andy rap in front of 300 students, making the whole auditorium laugh. 

My love and thoughts are with his family and friends. 

Andy I met you via the Dallas Toon Army at the Londoner. As an unassuming  quite member of the Toon Army,  our personality traits were very polarized. Your larger than life and love for the Toon was obvious but it never prevented you from quietly approaching me and checking in. And for those few moments, I am appreciative that our lives intersected. May you rest in peace. 

You waited a long time to see Good things happen to Newcastle.  Its a shame you’ll never see if they make it to the big time. 
 I never thought I’ll meet anyone who loved GREGGS as much as I do.  3 lions will always be on our chest pal!!! 

I wish you would of called me, and I wish I found the time to reach out xx. 

Andy, from the time Jasmine introduced you to us I thought of you as such a fun, energetic guy with so much love for the UK, Soccer, your friends and fam. You absolutely loved Indian food and most of our conversations were about food! I had a blast at your events/house party and we loved having you celebrate Vik and I. I wish we had more time to get to know each other, but just know you are missed. We got Jasmine and Belle’s back for ya. Rest in paradise bud, and I truly hope our souls cross paths in some way one day. 

Andy your larger than life personality will be remembered forever, I will always remember and treasure the times we shared the hugs you gave were some of the best I've had! Sam and I will talk of you often and when toon are playing we'll think of you. Thank you for the memories. Xxx

I only met you a handful of times Andi but in the few times we met You was always a nice person to talk to and have a laugh with about football, just wished I had got to known you for longer RIP mate 💙

Brother Andrew -  Always the life of the party, and making sure by the end of your conversations, that everyone was a Geordie. 
 I truly enjoyed the family you created, between our newly formed friend group. I watched how much you absolutely loved Isabella.  Not to mention the love you shared when you cooked. Those smoked ribs tho!!! Isabella enjoyed every piece with a big smile on her face.  

So thankful you were in our lives and introduced us to new friends/family. We all created memories to share with our kids, as they grow up together. 

We will always watch over Jasmine & Belle - They are family, we love them and will be there for them. We got you, Andy.

We went to school together and after not speaking for years I messaged you before Christmas after seeing you’d been in the hospital and you mentioned your plans for coming back to the UK for a trip and meeting up for a coffee. I am so sorry we won’t get that coffee now. Sleep well friend.
