David grew up in Elkhart, Indiana and graduated from Elkhart central high school in 1982. After graduating high school, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana in 1987. David was a proud member of Chi Phi (his fraternity) where he made some lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories.
David was forever a business man and salesperson taking much pride in his work as an Independent Manufacturer's Representative, for Building Materials. Not only did David take pride in his work, he adored his only daughter Rayna, teaching her many things she’ll carry with her throughout her life. David devoted much of his life providing care for his mother Shirley and loved her dearly. He never failed to make a positive impact on everyone he met, even if he only met them once. David always made the most of what he had while still giving to others given any circumstance. If you needed a listening ear, David was there, and he was especially there if the talk was about sports, politics, or anything business related. David always had a love for sports including basketball, football, baseball, and bowling. He was a die hard Michigan fan but also loved the cowboys, mavericks, and rangers. He attended many games and watched twice as many virtually, often cursing the tv and players as if he were the coach. If you knew David, you knew how organized and detailed he was both in his work and personal life. There was no file in his computer nor cabinets (and there were many) that did not have a place or label which corresponded to it. David enjoyed going to historic museums and according to him, the possibility to gain more knowledge was infinite. The legacy David carried will go on to serve as a reminder of the great man he was and will continue to be remembered as.
David is preceded in death by both of his parents, David Barnett Osborne Sr. and Shirley Rae Osborne.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Rayna Osborne; brother, Bob Osborne; nieces, Nicole and Rachel Osborne; nephew, Justin Osborne; Uncle Ray Hatch, and Aunt Kay (Kevin) Priebe.
