It is with profound sadness and deep love that we announce the passing of David Wells, a remarkable man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. David passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13th, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife and children, held close by the love and presence of the family he cherished most.
Born in Georgia, David spent his early years moving frequently as the son of a proud U.S. Marine. Each chapter of his life added depth and resilience to his character, but it was North Little Rock, Arkansas that ultimately captured his heart and became the place he lovingly called home.
David was a devoted husband to Brenda Wells, and just weeks before his passing, they joyfully celebrated 38 beautiful years of marriage—a partnership built on unwavering love, friendship, and mutual respect. He was a proud and supportive father to Cameron Wells and Bridgette Wells, and a true friend and mentor to many. David lived a life rooted in love, guided by faith, and defined by service to others.
A passionate and visionary entrepreneur, David loved building businesses. One of his proudest accomplishments was the founding of Undercover Truck Covers, which began as nothing more than an idea scribbled on a napkin at a Christmas party. That idea quickly took shape, and through David’s determination, innovation, and leadership, it blossomed into a vibrant and successful business. Headquartered in Rogersville, Missouri, Undercover became a testament to David’s ability to dream big and turn vision into reality—an example of the kind of builder he was, in business and in life.
David had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life, especially when it came to spending time outdoors. He loved gardening, and there was rarely a weekend when he wasn’t out in the yard, hands in the dirt and a peaceful smile on his face. When he wasn’t tending to his plants, Dave was often found on the golf course, where he shared countless rounds and memories with his wife, kids, and close friends. Golf was more than a game to David—it was time well spent with the people he loved most.
David held a deep and personal respect for our nation’s military and was a steadfast supporter of veterans and their families. He was especially passionate about his involvement with Homes for Heroes, a charity that allowed him to give back in meaningful ways and honor the sacrifices of servicemen and women—something close to his heart given his own family's military roots.
To know David was to be cared for, listened to, encouraged, and inspired. He led with humility, gave freely of his time and wisdom, and left everyone he met feeling a little stronger and more hopeful. His impact—both personal and professional—will be felt for generations.
David is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Wells; his son, Cameron Wells; his daughter, Bridgette Wells; his stepfather, Ray Daigle; and his sister, Debbie Bell. Though he is no longer with us in body, the memory of his love, strength, and spirit will live on in the lives he touched and in the family that will forever carry his light forward.
A celebration of David’s life will be held in North Little Rock, where family and friends will gather to honor the incredible man he was.
Rest easy, Dad. You built a beautiful life and left us with a legacy of love, strength, and purpose. We will carry you with us always.
