Geoffrey Taft Dunkle, age 51, of Frisco, Texas passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Geoffrey was born April 14, 1970 in Warwick, Rhode Island to his loving parents Katharine (Langdon) and Peter Dunkle.
Geoff loved everyone he met unconditionally. He had the biggest heart and a smile that could light up the darkest of rooms. If you knew Geoff, you loved him and if you ever were lucky, enough to get a hug from him you were blessed because they were the best!
Some of his favorite things to do were listen to live music, or just have it cranked up in the backyard, in the shower or the car. He enjoyed playing and watching tennis, making dad jokes, he loved his USC Trojans "Fight On". He loved breakfast at any time of the day but started each day reading the newspaper. Yes, going outside, getting the paper, and reading it from front to back. (Many times, he would be so excited to share events or updates with me that he was reading and I did not have the heart to tell him I saw that last night on social media or another form of news.) Reading the paper was. So important to him. He was a loyal New England Patriots fan, and loved the Boston Red Sox as well as the Boston Bruins, and Dallas Stars. If you weren't sure, what Geoff was up to in his free time, he was playing Words with Friends or Solitaire. Among the top on his list was that he loved Hawaii and his dream was to have a house there. Geoff attended Boston University as an undergraduate, University of Southern California where he earned his BA in Visual Anthropology and went on to further his education at Southern Methodist University to earn his MBA in Business Administration and Management. Geoff was most recently employed at Trencent where he worked with an amazing team that appreciated and valued him. Even on his toughest days, he would comment how grateful he was to work at such a great company.
Preceded in death by his father, Peter Dunkle. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Elaine Martel-Walker; children: Ava and Conner Dunkle and step-children: Benjamin, Jackson and Emerson Walker; mother, Katharine (Kit) Langdon, of Northampton, MA; siblings: Suzanne Sterling, of Oakland CA, Elizabeth (Lee) Dunkle, of Boston, MA, Peter Dunkle Jr., of Westerly, RI and Carey Dimmitt, of Northampton, MA and his Influential fatherly figure - Brad Wiley.
A celebration of life memorial service for Geoffrey will be held Friday, April 15, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be make in Geoffrey Dunkle's name to:
Baylor, Scott & White Surgical Transplant Fellowship or Transplant Research. To donate online please click on the "Donations" link below.
• The surgical transplant fellowship is a two-year fellowship for doctors looking to specialize in abdominal transplant surgery following the completion a residency. These doctors are trained in both liver and kidney transplant procedures by some of the leading experts in the field. After completion of the two-year fellowship, they are then fully qualified as liver/kidney transplant surgeons.
• Research is an essential part of improving care for transplant patients. Right now, there are 75 clinical trials and research projects focused on abdominal transplants (liver/kidney) taking place on the Baylor University Medical Center campus alone. The research trials range from qualitative research aimed at better understanding the transplant patient experience to projects looking for new biomarkers that can help predict why particular people are inclined toward better or worse outcomes than others.
