

Jackie Jirsa passed from this life to her eternal home on December 16, 2016 in Frisco, Texas with her family by her bedside. She was born on November, 30 1948 in Loma Linda, California to her parents, Garnette Huntington and Hank Moore. Jackie grew up in San Bernardino, California. Her mother Garnett took in over 48 foster children into their home over the years. They would take vacations to Mexico and bring used pedal driven sowing machines, where poor women, years later would have a thriving business and support her family.
Jackie was a very hard worker. She loved her profession and her coworkers. She enjoyed mentoring. She also loved to knit and had many sweet moments teaching her granddaughters how to knit. She was a very private person and not very emotional, but took great joy in giving gifts as an expression of her affection.If she became aware of any need especially financial, those needs were quietly and discretely meet. Jackie was a nurse her entire career spanning over 40 years. Jackie had a Bachelors degree in Nursing and was in the first ever graduating class of Nurse Practitioners in California. Her coworkers named her Snackie Jackie because she loved to bring in fresh food, lunch and her famous guacamole to the ER staff.
Jackie loved travel in particular she loved Italy and anyplace close to a beach. One of her favorite place was her room during a sleepover with her granddaughters. She said she loved to wake up and look at the sleeping angels in her bed. Some of her hobbies included; knitting, travel, cooking, and reading history books. Jackie loved Jane Austen in all her varieties and any good Romantic Comedy.
She enjoyed exploring her Son-in-Law’s Chickasaw culture, often sowing him custom ribbon shirts for his various Native gatherings. Jackie has two twin granddaughters, Genoa and Elisah Pate. They are seven years old and were Jackie’s greatest joy. She was a strong believer in Jesus attending the Ecclesia Church for many years.
Jackie is preceded in death by, her parents Garnett and Hank, and her sister Judy. She is survived by her daughter Sherrie Pate and her husband Ronald Pate of Frisco, Texas; and their children Genoa and Elisah Pate. And lastly, her brother John Moore of Yelm, Washington.
Jackie was loved while she was with us here on earth, and will be continued to be loved through time and all eternity.
