February 16, 1996 – December 24, 2025
Jiaming Eddie Qian passed away on December 24, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 29. Born on February 16, 1996, in Shenzhen, China, Jiaming was a devoted son, a thoughtful scholar, and a gentle soul whose quiet passion for life touched those who truly knew him.
Jiaming was the beloved son of Xifeng Qian and Yinyan Lou, who shared with him not only a close family bond but also countless hours cooking together at home. Food was never just nourishment for Jiaming—it was love, creativity, culture, and connection. From handmade dumplings to carefully prepared meals, he was truly a dumpling master, and the kitchen was one of the places where his heart felt most at peace.
His academic journey reflected a lifelong devotion to food and agriculture. In 2014, Jiaming began his studies at University of California, Davis, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science. He continued on to Texas A&M University, completing a Master’s degree in Agricultural Business in 2022. Since 2023, he had been pursuing his MBA at Dallas Baptist University, steadily working toward a future devoted to the food supply and agricultural systems he loved so deeply.
Beyond academics, Jiaming had a quiet but rich inner world. Music followed culinary as his second great love, often keeping him company during long cooking sessions. He enjoyed watching cooking shows—especially Guy’s Big Bite—had a deep appreciation for Tex-Mex cuisine, and found joy in sharing meals rather than seeking attention. He was never loud, but his presence was steady and comforting.
Though he never became a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Jiaming loved car racing and dreamed of owning a Nissan GTR old model. His final car was a Model Y, a practical choice that suited his thoughtful nature. Life gave him many passions, but not enough time. He did not have the opportunity to become a husband or a father—a loss not only to him, but to anyone who might have shared a life filled with warmth, curiosity, and quiet joy.
Jiaming Eddie Qian will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication, his love of culinary and music, and the gentle way he moved through the world. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his memory will continue to live on every shared meal, every carefully folded dumpling, and every moment of quiet reflection.
He is survived by his loving parents, Xifeng Qian and Yinyan Lou.
A memorial service celebrating Jiaming’s life will be held on Monday, December 29, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home 10375 Preston Rd., Frisco, TX 75033
