Born in Dallas County, Texas, on January 22, 1975, Lindy graduated from Collin College with her AAS in Nursing and was working at Griffin Middle School in The Colony, Texas, as their school nurse (her dream job).
Lindy went by many affectionate nicknames such as “Miss Lindy,” “Nurse Lindy,” “Lil’ Dr. Pepper,” “Lindy D Dawn,” and one of her recent favorites, “Lolly” (munchkin translation of grandma). She loved traveling to beach, mountain, and casino locations, as well as sitting on the back porch visiting with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; her children, Chase Coker, Dylan Poindexter (Fernanda), and Shelby Collins (Matt); her grandchildren, Theo and Clover; her step-father, Robert Schupbach; her sisters, Catrina Tobias (William), Shelly Root, and Mikayla Martin (Gavin); her aunts, Jana Dalton (David) and Gina Michelle Hamilton (children Stephen, Sean, and Rebekah); her uncles, Wayne Pittman, Mike Sanders, Rodney Sanders, and Craig Sanders; her nieces, Whitney and Elizabeth; and her nephews, Justin and Ethan.
Lindy was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy Pittman and Lorrie Pittman Schupbach; her grandparents, Wally and Margie Pittman (Ma and Pa) and James and Rose-Mary Sanders; and her great-grandmother, Edith Hill (Mamaw).
Lindy loved and cared for others with her whole heart, which will be remembered by all who had the unique privilege to know her.
Always loving, forever loved.
