She was born to the late Lincoln Emmett Ogden and Mary Selena Griffiths in Manchester, England, on September 7th, 1950. She was one of 5 siblings, younger than Aunty Linda, a distinction she would like us to emphasize.
She was married on September 1,1973 and proceeded to welcome into the world 3 wonderful children, who took turns attempting to prematurely turn her hair grey. She was then exceptionally delighted when those aforementioned children began to have families of their own, and even more amused when her beloved grandchildren became the cause of our grey hair. She is survived by her 3 children Jennifer, Laura, & Lawrence and her son in law Chris, and soon to be daughter in law Taylor; her 8 grandchildren, Lucy, Isabel, Emma Cate, Oliver, Samantha, Gabriel, Leo, and Harriet; her sisters Linda & Julie and her brother Lincoln and her cousin Mary.
She is joining her Nana, her mother, her father, her brother Alan, and her darling pups, Bailey, Beethoven, Sophie & Stanley for what is likely the most epic reunion. We imagine she’s already sipping a margarita and regaling them with tales of her adventures, bragging about her children, and having a final laugh that there’s no password required to enter the Pearly Gates.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco TX, at 11:00 AM CT on April Fools Day with a reception to follow. Condolences may be left on Elaine’s online guest book at Stonebriar Funeral Home. There will also be a live stream for all who wish to join in around the country and for her beloveds across the pond and beyond. For those joining virtually we encourage you to have your pitcher of margaritas prepared and that there be no whinging. Those are direct orders from our Elaine. She wouldn’t have it any other way, and neither would we.
