After retiring from Texaco as a Refinery Operator with over 35 years of service, he relocated to Plano, Tx to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid lover of crosswords puzzles and enjoyed solving complex math problems which earned him the nickname “Checkie” by his coworkers.
Reynold liked traveling to different parts of his native country and spent many weekends enjoying various beaches around the island. He was an amateur mechanic and did almost all his own car repairs. In his spare time, he also enjoyed listening to classical and big band music. His favorite musical instrument was the violin which he played as a child and young adult.
He is survived by his three children Anthony Ambrose, Wendy Warren, and Carlene John. His five grandchildren Erika Jackson, Erecia Johnson, Aracin Warren, Omari Ambrose, and James Ambrose. Great-Grandchildren, Mckayla Jackson, Anthony Jackson, and Elias Johnson. Siblings Petrina James, Joyce James, Oswald James and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by parents Samuel and Violet James, brothers Peter and Cecil James, and sisters Gloria James and Jean Young.
We are honoring his request to be cremated and his ashes scattered.
A memorial service for his celebration of life will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home on Friday, February 20th at 2pm.
