

Richard Arden Norman was born on June 6th, 1946 to Arden and Dorothy Norman. Richard grew up in Evanston Wyoming, and as a child, Richard loved playing in the snow and making boats to float down the river. He was a member of the Jr. Posse horse club where he rode horses in Rodeos. As a boy, Richard loved camping, hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his grandparents. Richard was a true patriot who loved his country. He spent four years in the United States Armed Forces three of which were served in Germany as a Staff Sargent with top security clearance. He was a family man who loved to support and protect his family. Richard married Rhonda Whitney Norman on September 7, 1984, in Ogden Utah and sealed their marriage in the Los Angeles Temple on March 25, 1986. Richard was a Computer Programmer and Consultant for 50 years and loved to learn. He always kept up on the latest technology and was very active in being prepared for an emergency. He was even a member of the Coppell emergency rescue team and a ham radio licensed operator. Richard enjoyed traveling, following and being involved in politics. Some of his favorite places to visit were Jackson Hole Wyoming and spending time in Europe. Richard graduated from Evanston High School in 1964 then continued his education at the University of UT and went on to Pepperdine University in Malibu California where he received his M.B.A. Richard loved music. He loved country, rock and roll, and especially Frank Sentara. Richard was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served as a primary teacher, the Elder Quorum President, a High Priest, and as an ordinance worker for two years at the Dallas Temple.
Richard entered into eternal life on May 2, 2016, in Savannah, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arden and Dorothy Norman. Richard is survived by his Wife, Rhonda Norman of Savannah, Texas; Children, Alicia Camille Van Holten and spouse Jake Van Holten, of Lehi, Utah, Kenneth Eugene Crow and Spouse Wendy Crow, of Frisco, Texas, Sara Alexandria Walker and Spouse David Walker, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Whitney Jan Uland and spouse Jon Uland, of Brooklyn, New York; Grandchildren, Braxton, Jayden, Taja, Treston, Wesley, Cameron, Carter, Bethany, Lilly, and William; Sister, Sherry Wright of Evanston, Wyoming; and the family dog, Tinker Bell.
