Robbie is such a kind, joyful, generous and loving man who was a friend to all who met him. He is dearly missed and we grieve all the times we didn't get a chance to spend more time. There are big plans that will never come to pass, but we will always be thankful for our time on Calm Springs and the chance to know him. He lived life BIG and never stopped. We love you, Robbie,  and thank you so much for the memories. 

So sad what happened to my cousin. We were so close when we were young. Nothing can ever take away the love we had between our families. RIP little cousin 😔

It is easy to Robbie a friend, he was easy to get along with and fun to talk to, and really cared about you. He really just wanted everything to be right with projects and your life. He could take a stressful situation and make it funny. Come to find out, lots of people have a deep friendship with this man. I miss him dearly. I feel like he helped raise me over these past 8 years and I am better for it. Thanks Robbie! 

Robbie was a "gentle soul" and easy to enjoy being around.  My deepest sympathies to his family for their loss.

Robbie will never be forgotten as he was the most willing mentor I've ever met in this industry. He truly embodied being a builder of people in all of his actions. Listening to "Change the World" Speech by US Navy Admiral, William H. McRaven, you are reminded of Robbie's character in every one of the ten lessons he brings up. The lesson of If you want to change the world "find someone to help you paddle" resonates the most here as Robbie was that person for many of us in DPR and his previous companies. 

Robbie, you lit up every room, conference call, and zoom call, and spread the smiles and giggles galore. Your DPR family already misses you so very much.

There are no words. Robbie was a huge part of our DPR family- his personality took up a whole room, if you were having a bad day, he could make you laugh in seconds, his hugs were the best, his laugh was infectious, his construction stories were unreal. He will be missed forever. We love you, Robbie, thank you for everything.

It's hard to put into words what Robbie meant to me as a mentor and a friend. Robbie had such a great way to connect to others. He made you feel like you belonged, like you were an equal, he made you feel great about yourself at all times. Never negative, always there to cheer up the group on the hardest of days. Days like today are the days you want Robbie around. He will be missed dearly, but never forgotten.

I've caught myself looking back at a note on my phone a lot over these past few days labeled 'Robbieisms'. I hope you all enjoy these.

- Do something, even if its not right, do it!

- You lie like a rug!

- We need you all over it like a cheap rug.

Even in the most stressful of times Robbie always found away to lighten the mood. It could have been a joke, quirky robbie-ism, or a harmless prank like the one captured above. Robbie was a very special man, mentor, and friend. The thing I will miss the most is the "just-us-girls" chats that always ended with an imparting of knowledge to whoever was apart of the conversation. I find comfort in knowing that those nuggets of knowledge will continue to live on through all of us that were fortunate enough to know him. 

I would call Robbie regularly and he would answer by saying "What are you doing Dead Beat?"  Will always miss that raspy morning voice.  Seeing all the "Robbie-ism's" will never get old.  I will miss you old friend.  I've told you 100 time - Thank You! Wish you were here for me to say it one more time. Thank you for all your coaching, knowledge, friendship, and most of all laughs. You may be gone from here, but never forgotten.  Look over us and guide us.  Until we hunt and fish again.  Much Love and Much Respect.

I will you miss you greatly Robbie.  You always brought a smile to my face.  You were warm and engaging and always made me feel welcome.  I respect you immensely and sad to say goodbye.

Robbie was one of the most intelligent and gifted construction minds I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  He saw things in 4 dimensions, length, width, height, and time and could tell you from walking the jobsite if you were on schedule or ahead or behind.

While he was always quick with a smile and a joke, he was of the highest integrity and skill and will be sorely missed.

Mark and I have been friends with Robbie and Lexie for several years.  Robbie always had a hug ready when he walked in the room.  He never left without an “I love you guys” and he taught me how to be a better pool player just by watching him play. He will be missed so much by both me and Mark.  Lexie and Destin, we are here for you. 

We used to be neighbors and friends in San Antonio. Robbie was so funny and loved to fish.He had a kind heart and his smile was contagious. We are so sorry to hear of his passing.  My heart goes out to Lexi and Destin. May Robbie Rest In Peace. Lisa and Dale Mcwilliams and Ron, Matt and Zach Kursman 

Even though we didn’t see each other much after we grew up, as children my fondest memories were going to Georgia to see Harold (Bill) Joey and Robbie. I’ll never forgot one year we went to six flags and apparently Uncle Bill owed Robbie a dollar.  For the entire day, every time we turned around Robbie was saying,  “ I want my dollar daddy!” I see his little boy face in all these pictures of him. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Love you Robbie, till we meet again. 

As Robbie’s oldest brother, I never have even thought of what I could say. I just told him last week that I was suppose to go before my baby brother. He said for me not to worry he was fine. He is already missed by many people as you can see in these memories. Karen and I have two of Robbie’s nieces, two nephews, and 11 great nieces and nephews that loved him very much! There is a great big hole in my heart today! I love you little brother. I Am sorry for your loss Lexi and Destin. I love you guys. 

    I had mixed thoughts when I heard we had someone coming to our team to take Lance Wafler's place.  But as soon as I met Robbie I immediately liked him.  He made the project a lot of fun and it never even seemed like work when he was around.  But we always got things done and he wanted them done right.  He was a great mentor and even better friend in the years that followed.  He would always invite us to dinner with him and Lexie or over to his house to cookout.  That's just who he was.  In the years since we worked together about once a month he would ask me to send him a picture of where I was living and what I was doing.  He would always say, "I live vicariously through you".  It was kind of like a big brother just checking up on me.  He always made me laugh.  Last month we talked about investing in a rental house or some kind of business because he was ready to retire.  I hate that he did not see that day because he definitely earned it.  I am going to miss our conversations brother.  

I was fortunate to start my career working for Robbie.   There is not a day that goes by that I don't do something that Robbie taught me.  I have so many great memories from the years I worked with Robbie.  He was a great friend and mentor.  Robbie never met a stranger and was always planning his next fishing trip.  Good friends, cold beer, and fried chicken... That's all you need to make a good fishing trip!  You will be missed!  Sincere condolences to Lexi and Destin.

I met Robbie many years ago in Charleston, SC. He and his wonderful wife Lexi and I instantly became friends. I even dressed up like Santa Claus to surprise Destin for Christmas one year. Destin was too smart and I think he knew it was me. Little did I know how tight of a friendship we all would create. I will always cherish our friendship and times we had together. We had some great times in Charleston, San Antonio and in Frisco Tx. Lexi and Destin I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers  are with you both for comfort and peace. You both were the world to Robbie. Love you guys. 

I met Robbie as a 20 year old intern on my first construction project in Orlando Florida.  It was pure luck I would meet a lifelong friend mentor and father figure.  People talk about Who Luck.......Robbie was my who.  He guided me in more ways than he will ever know with his gracious spirit, willingness to share and his true and genuine friendship.  As many experienced......if you knew Robbie he was your friend.  His generosity was legendary.  Every time....literarily ever time I saw him he offered to have me stay at his house, come to dinner or invite me on a fishing trip.  While it always made me feel special I think he was just that way.....to all his friends.  His love of fishing was also legendary.  I can remember several fishing trips he would organize and would always marvel at the collection of folks he would invite.  He would invite all types of people from all different background to his trips.   Did not mater if you were the owner of a company, a "shiny shoe" vice president or trade person in the field if you were his friend- YOU were invited.   His spirit was so genuine you just wanted to be near him.  As a mentor I saw him coach and develop so many.  He was just that way....always wanting to teach.  While he was a willing teacher I would not call him patient as he would often say-"Do something even it is wrong".  He positively influenced so many in our business but also in life.  Robbie your memory will live on in those who's lives you touched........I love you brother and miss you terribly.  RIP.........Your Friend Lance.
