Sabrina Kay Carothers passed from this life into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on July 29, 2018 with her family by her side. Sabrina was born on July 20, 1961 to her parents, Robert and Martha Clark in Brownwood, Texas. She was the eldest of three children helping to nurture her younger siblings, Bob and Dede while growing up in Lewisville, Texas.
Sabrina graduated from Lewisville High School in 1979. Although Sabrina was her given name, she was known to many as Brina and Gigi to her grandbabies. She thoroughly enjoyed her church communities at both Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Prosper and Wylie Northeast Church. These were very much family for her! Sabrina was a member of the Wylie Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association for several years.
Friends that knew Sabrina would tell you, that as a child, she was thoughtful and reserved yet, she was tough as nails. Sabrina was most comfortable with her family and friends. She was known for her kind heart, her contagious smile and her love for God.
Sabrina was adventurous and loved to travel. She enjoyed reading and being on road trips. Sabrina was equally happy being outdoors riding a horse as she was inside reading a book. She invested her life in other people, especially her children and grandchildren, through ministry and quality time.
When asked where her favorite place to be was, she would immediately respond anywhere with her husband, Kerry. Back in the day, Sabrina was a huge Carman fan. She was addicted to Hallmark movies, particularly their Christmas movies. Sabrina enjoyed serving in a number of Church families including the Lighthouse Christian Fellowship and the Northeast Family of Churches. She valued relationships and always sought to create plenty of them.
Sabrina married the love of her life, Kerry Carothers in Lewisville, Texas in 1984. Together they have four children. Her memory will live on through her parents: Robert and Martha Clark of Lewisville, TX; her husband, Kerry Carothers of Wylie, TX; her children: her son, Joseph Carothers and his wife, Brittany, and their two children, Rowan and Ella of Allen, TX; her daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Kyle Dorman and their children, Peyton, David and Austin of Wylie, TX; her daughter, Chelsea and her husband, Brad Davis of Denton, TX; and her son, Matthew Carothers of Arlington, TX; and her siblings, Bob and Darlene Clark of McKinney, TX; and Dede Clark Curtis of Flower Mound, TX.
Sabrina was loved while she was with us here on earth and will continue to be loved through time and all eternity. We miss you Sabrina.
