

Thomas was raised in Nebraska and attended Benson High School. He went to Wayne State University, joined the Army Reserves and started his sales career in selling cars where he met the love of his life, Lanette, and they became man and wife in 1974 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. After leaving Nebraska, Thomas never forgot how much he loved the Cornhusker State, He always could be found rooting for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers, any and all sports, any and everything 'Cornhuskers". He also enjoyed his life at home, the RV Industry and meeting people along his journeys. He would love to tell stories and jokes and always found joy in making others smile and laugh. He was known as "Flash" and will be remembered for his great negotiating skills!
He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Flood; stepfather, Walter Marshall, and in-laws Ken and Peggy Hummel.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lanette; his son, Brent and wife Cindy of Denton, Texas; his mother Ione Marshall of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Jack Flood, Alex Stidwell, and Xavier Stidwell of Denton, Texas; his brother, Jerry and his wife Jackie of Estes Park, Colorado; Nieces and nephews, Jason Hoover and wife Jill, Abbey Hoover, Sean Guenther and wife Kayla, Joel Guenther and wife Stephanie, and Kyle Guenther and wife Alyssa, Aunt Lorraine and several cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 5, 2022 from 2pm - 6pm at the Flood's home in Frisco, Texas, please contact the family for address and directions.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting a donation be made in Thomas's name at the American Heart Association.
