Vikki Lynn Roberts

It is with great sadness that the family of Vikki Lynn Roberts announces her passing on Friday April 24, 2020 in Little Elm, Texas at the age of 70. Vikki was born on February 17, 1950 in Pampa, TX to Evelyn and William Curtis. Her family moved to Amarillo, TX where she was raised and she graduated from Caprock High School in 1968. As an adult, Vikki spent many years living in Amarillo and in the neighboring city of Canyon, where she raised her son, Russ. She had a long successful career as an executive assistant and office manager in West Texas. In 1997, Vikki moved to Edmond, OK for work where she forged many new friendships and memories. She spent 22 years in Oklahoma but longed to be back in Texas with her family. After retiring in July 2019, Vikki quickly moved to Little Elm, TX to be closer to her family. She was especially excited to be nearer to her two grandchildren, the lights of her life.

A loving, kind and generous person, Vikki was deeply religious and carried her faith on her sleeve. She never met a stranger and could quickly start up a conversation with anyone as if they were friends for years. She always brought more than was needed or asked to any event she attended.

Vikki is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Evelyn Laney and Tommy Lewis.

She will lovingly be remembered by many including her son, Russell Collins (Darla); grandchildren, Sophie and Quinn; brothers, Robert Lewis (Debbie) and Gary Staggs; nieces, Ashley Staggs, Brook Armstrong and Laura Frey; nephews, Robbie Lewis, Barret Lewis, Taylor Lewis; and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Vikki’s greatest love was for family and family gatherings. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. A celebration of Vikki’s life will be held at a later date.
