

A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Calvin Clatterbuck officiating. Burial will follow in Willis Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Walters was born in Rappahannock County on April 18, 1930 a son of Hattie Western Riley. He was a logger for Elwood Welch. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed being with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Gwen Diane Williams of Front Royal, Angela O’Dell Williams and husband Israel of Front Royal, Clarence Lee Walters, Jr., of Front Royal, Todd Allen Williams and wife Elizabeth of Gainsville, Terry L. Oliver of Lexington Park, MD, Betty Lou Morris of Hagerstown, MD, Mary Lou Bywaters and husband Kenneth of Amissville; James Preston Walters of Moundsville, WV; and Kimerly Williams and Annette Sheadly whom he considered like his own children; his brother, Norman Walters of Winchester; his sister Mertie Sheets of Winchester; his grandchildren, Michael Williams, Kelly Critzer, Samantha Waltz, Amber Williams, Heather, Brittney and Emma Williams, CJ and Rachael Walters, Charlotte Claggett, Dougie Oates, and Rachael Oliver; a very special friend and caregiver, Karen Haines; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Williams Walters; his infant daughter Melissa Walters and his brothers, Lewis Henry (Woody) Walters and James Preston Walters.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Faron Clatterbuck, Mathew Clatterbuck, James Walters, Allen Walters, Norman Walters, Jr., Jeffery Henry and Jamie Henry, Frankie Ardinger and Dougie Oates. Honorary pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons.
