Barbara Lucille Farmer, 93, of Fort Collins passed away February 9, 2026. Born in Laramie, WY on February 19, 1932, the daughter of Andrew and Hattie Rowland. Barbara graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1950. She was married on July 24, 1954, to James R. Farmer who preceded her in passing in February of 2013 with whom she enjoyed a marriage of 59 years.
Surviving are her children, LuAnne (Al) Hicks of Littleton, CO, Leigh (Al) Larson of Fort Collins, CO, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Ruth Erickson, Richard Rowland, and Marvin Rowland.
Barbara was active in her community in many ways. She volunteered in the ICU waiting area at Poudre Valley Hospital, and the outpatient clinics at the Estes Park Medical Center. She also worked for many years for Larimer County in the Treasurer’s Office and the Motor Vehicle Department.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Allnutt Drake Chapel with reception to follow. 650 W. Drake Rd. Fort Collins, CO 80526.
