Bonnie worked as a Medical Technologist in Illinois, North Carolina, and Oklahoma, until the birth of her first child in 1959. She stayed home to raise her three children Deborah, Amy, and David then resumed her education and earned her Master’s Degree in Health Education. Following that, she worked as a Health Educator at the college level and worked for the Red Cross.
Bonnie was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Collins. She proudly served as the President of the League of Women Voters, both in Illinois and Larimer County Colorado. She enjoyed playing team tennis, hiking, gardening, skiing, and a wide range of fitness activities. Bonnie loved to spend time in the outdoors, especially in the mountains.
