She grew up on a farm with five siblings and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957 and Regis College in 1988. She moved to Colorado and met her husband Thomas MacLean in April of 1959. They wed on September 19, 1959 and shared 60 wonderful years together before Tom preceded her in death in 2020.
Carol was a homemaker while her kids were young and started her career later in life. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business at age 49. She spent most of her career working for A T & T in the patent department. She was also a Mary Kay consultant and seemed to enjoy the get togethers more than the selling.
Carol was a hoot and loved life. A bit ornery at times, you could count on her to be a bit of a rebel and the center of fun and laughter. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, exercising, birding, scrapbooking, her Church community, taking part in Red Hat Society events, volunteering (she especially enjoyed clowning for people at nursing homes and hospitals) traveling, spending time with her friends in both Colorado and Arizona. She had a zest for life and never seemed to slow down. She was the fun Grandma. After the passing of their spouses, she reconnected with her high school boyfriend, Milt Aubushon and they shared her last years happily together. Carol will be greatly missed by all.
Carol is survived by her son, Thomas Jeffery; daughter, Cynthia Lee; grandchildren, Thomas William and Lindsey Lee, as well as her sisters, Delilah Noffsinger and Junith Oliver.
Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home and Memory Gardens 8426 S. Hwy 287, Ft. Collins, CO at 9:30am Friday, December 27, 2024.
