Charles Chuck"" Raymond Donnelly

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Charles “Chuck” Raymond Donnelly III passed on to a better place on Monday, January 18, 2016. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 3rd, 1947 to Charles and Cyrilla Donnelly, Chuck will be sorely missed by family and friends alike.

Charles graduated from Kent State and followed his career path in accounting to Colorado. There he met Kristen, and soon they started a family. Chuck was a loyal and giving husband and father to his late wife Kristen, and his son and three daughters; Adam Bishop, Caitlin Carder, Meighan Burton, and Brianna Gerlach. He is also survived by his 5 siblings: Sue Nicodemus, Maureen See, Steve Donnelly, Jim Donnelly, and MaryEllen Colombo; his significant other Cheryl Cottrell; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other friends.

While many people knew Chuck as a quiet man, his family knew him as a bluegrass and chess loving man whom always put his family first. He spent his time in Aurora, Colorado raising his four children. Often times you could find Chuck shut away in his study listening to bluegrass as his children snickered outside the study door, letting his children win at chess and scrabble, or keeping the TV permanently on sports channels for background noise.

Charles spent his last days sharing some of his favorite things with his loved ones; including an outing to The Ring Of Fire play with his daughter Brianna and significant other Cheryl Cottrell, sleepover with his daughters Meighan and Katie, and salmon dinner with his sister Sue.

Chuck will now be spending his days sipping on Margarita’s with many loved ones including his late wife, Kristen, his parents, his beloved dogs, and various friends that have left us too soon.

His loved ones will be hosting a memorial and invite all to join on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 11am at Meadowlark Church of Christ (2810 Meadowlark Avenue, Fort Collins, CO, 80526).
