Daniel Wayne Crist

Visitation will start at 2:00 pm on Monday July 15th followed by a funeral service at 3:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Stein of First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Dan Crist was born at Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado to Paul Thomas and Tressa Elaine Crist (nee Harmon) on July 2, 1966. He attended various elementary and junior high schools and graduated from high school in Pocatello, Idaho in 1984. Dan excelled at school and was active in Junior Achievement. He graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in English in 1995.

Dan Crist is preceded in death by his older brother David Burl Crist.

Dan Crist is survived by his brothers: Thomas Jefferson “Jeff” Crist and Steven Joseph Crist and by his sisters: Tracy Elaine Crist and Margaret “Peggy” Angela Schmitzer and her husband John. He is also survived by his parents: Terry and Dennis Valnes and Paul Thomas Crist.

Dan was a generous soul whose kindness made the world a better place. He was very compassionate, especially towards the elderly. Dan was known for his great sense of humor and love of his family and friends. He wanted people to SMILE. His sarcasm, laughter and quick wit will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He enjoyed working on cars and was interested in auto restoration. He attended the Vineyard Church in Fort Collins and was employed with Columbine Health Care at the time of his passing.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Crist, Steve Crist, John Schmitzer, Steve Jacobs, Preston Peterson, and Joel Raguindin.
