Donald D. Hitchcock, 81, of Loveland passed away on October 3, 2013 at the Windsor Health Care Center in Windsor, CO. He was born on January 10, 1932 in Wray, CO, to Leland and Thelma Hitchcock. He attended school in Wray and graduated from Wray High School in 1950. Donald was in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952, serving overseas in Korea.
On April 20, 1952 he married Geri Kiser in Ogallalla, NE. They moved to Loveland in 1974. Donald worked for Rocky Flats for 16 years as a machinist. He was also a police officer for a short time. He enjoyed drawing, art, woodworking, and model airplanes.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Geri, of Loveland; a son, Bill (Linda) Hitchcock of Johnstown; daughters, Linda Kay (Jim) Emmons of Greeley and Donna (Lee) Vail of Fort Collins; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.
