Dorothy was born October 7, 1939 to William H. Ashby and Leota B. (Hemphill) Ashby. After graduating from Fort Collins High School in 1957, Dorothy was united in marriage to Charles S. Laidlaw in 1958. They had three daughters.
Dorothy loved spending time with family and friends, reading and working in the yard.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Kathy (David) Ross of Victor, Idaho; Susan (Dan) Jones of Fort Collins; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles Laidlaw, daughter Linda Laidlaw, Brother Herbert Ashby, Sister Eileen Farmer, and Brother Marvin Ashby.
A Memorial Service will be held July 28, 2025 at 10:00 am with reception following at the Allnutt Funeral Chapel, 650 W. Drake Road, Fort Collins, CO 80526.
