

Edward attended Fruitdale Elementary School in Wheat Ridge, CO, grew up in the Tennyson Street / Berkeley area of Denver, and graduated from North High School in Denver.
After high school, Edward spent three years in the Army as a member of the Army Security Agency, where he was stationed for a time in Ankara, Turkey.
After his military service, he worked as an Electronics Technician for Van Waters and Rogers, and then for Western Union, where he was employed for over 30 years, based in Sterling, CO and Oak Ridge, TN.
During the 1970s, Edward took construction classes at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO and, afterwards, he and Catherine built their family's first home almost entirely themselves, from the ground up.
He loved the outdoors, and spent time arrowhead hunting, camping, fishing, and gold panning in Colorado. In his later years, he enjoyed mountain drives to Central City and Black Hawk.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Isabel Stolz, and sister Kate Chenevert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Catherine Stolz; his children Erik Stolz, Amy Duffy and Andrew Stolz; and his grandchildren Ellaleah Kalbstolz, Allison Duffy, Jacob Duffy, Ethan Stolz, Ashton Stolz, Devin Stolz and Tristan Stolz.
A celebration of life will take place at 11:00 am Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Allnutt Funeral Service and Chapel in Fort Collins, CO.
