

She married the love of her life, Antonios “Tony” Katopodis and they wed in Lefkada in 1965. Together, they had three children, Roula, Jimmy, and Niki.
The family moved to America for a better life and a brighter future in 1972 and settled in Boulder, CO. They then moved to Ft. Collins in 1977 and opened the Greek Connection. In 1986, the family opened Tony’s Restaurant. After retirement, Angie’s pride and passion was her faith to the Orthodox Church, and her six grandchildren. She also loved to garden and would volunteer her help to anyone in need – whether through the church or otherwise.
Angie was preceded in death by her parents, Sotrios and Spyrthoula.
Angie is survived by her husband, Antonios “Tony” Katopodis of Ft. Collins, daughter, Roula Spanos and her husband, Douglas Beard of Ft. Collins, and their children, George, Antonios “Tony”, and Nicholas; son, Jimmy Katopodis and his wife Ashley, and their children, Evangelia “Eva”, Antonios “Tony”, and Alexander; daughter, Niki Katopodis of Denver; siblings, Tom Palmer, Leo Palmos, Maria Kourtis, and Spiro Palmer.
A Trisagion will be held 7 pm, Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 am, Friday at Saint Spyridon Orthodox Church with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Refreshments hosted by Philoptochos. The Mercy Meal will immediately follow the burial.
