Flora Ella Schauerman

Just one week shy of her 95th birthday, Flora (Floss/Flossie) went home to be with Jesus on Jan 28, 2025. Flora was born on Feb 5, 1930, the second daughter of Ethel April Merritt Hinkle and Donald Everett Hinkle of Fairview, PA.

If you knew Flora, you knew that wherever she lived, whether it was in Fairview, PA, Sylmar, CA or Loveland and Fort Collins, CO, her 'happy place' was her garden, You could always find her tending to her hostas, roses or other seasonal flowers and plants.

Her other passion was working with fabric sewing clothes, making quilts and hooking rugs. All her projects will be treasured by her family.

She so enjoyed creating a beautiful home with her many treasured antiques and collections. She also loved to cook treating her family and friends with her specialties.

Flora was a very proud and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister April Hinkle, husbands Raymond Szkotnicki and William Schauerman and grandson in-law Tanner Randall.

Survived by her son Dennis Szkotnicki of Walnut Creek, CA, daughter Shauna Szkotnicki Trzcinski and her husband James of Fort Collins, CO, granddaughter Nikki (Trzcinski) Randall of Fort Collins, CO, grandson Elliot Trzcinski and his wife Alanna (Green) of Windsor, CO, great-grandsons Hobie and Torin Randall, great-granddaughters Lily and Mia Trzcinski. Also survived by her brother Ronald Hinkle and family of Fairview, PA and her sister Donna (Hinkle) Watts and family of Bradenton, FL and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.

Flora will be greatly missed by all.
