Harvey Dean Horst, 61, of Loveland passed away on November 26, 2011 at McKee Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Harvey was born on July 28, 1950 in Fort Collins to Arthur and Minnie (Keller) Horst. He graduated from Loveland High School in 1969. Other than brief periods in Fort Collins and Windsor, he lived in Loveland all his life. Before his health declined, Harvey worked in maintenance positions for several companies including Porter Industries and Kodak.
Over the years Harvey was an avid bowler, a good fisherman, enjoyed playing horseshoes at family gatherings and picnics, and hunting pheasants and geese with his dad, uncles and brothers.
Harvey will be remembered for his friendly bantering and teasing and be missed by his family and friends.
Harvey is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons Harvey, Jr. and Jeramie; brothers Ron (Susan) Horst and Lloyd (April) Horst; nieces Michelle (David) Dinsmore, Tracy (Eric) Hall-Schmidt, Anna Horst, Sarah Horst, Rachel (Andre) Dozier; nephew John Horst; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
A visitation will be held at 10:30am on Thursday December 1st followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30am at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
