Janett was born in Jefferson City, MO. to Luther and Elda Scrivner and was the youngest of three children. She attended and graduated from Jefferson City High school and Junior College. During her early years, she was very active in the Southern Baptist church participating in the Baptist Student Union and teaching Bible School. She served as the Church Secretary for many years, was the secretary for the Superintendent of the Missouri Baptist Hospital and the Missouri Department of Education.
Janett met her husband Paul during kindergarten and they attended school together through graduation. She married her life-long love and companion, Paul on January 4, 1942 just before Paul was shipped out to the Navy during WWII. She followed him to various ports during his military years.
After the war, they moved to Colorado where they set up their new home. In 1958 their son Randy was born. In 1960, they moved to Westminster and then welcomed their daughter Janiece to complete their immediate family.
Janett became very active in Machine Knitting where she traveled across the country teaching and doing demonstrations. She designed knits for well-known celebrities including Jill Saint-John. In addition, she exhibited significant talent in oil painting, ceramics and sewing.
She would often say that even though she had accomplished much in her life, her greatest accomplishment was her family and she always ensured that they came first.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Paul, her son Randy and his wife Bonnie, her daughter Janiece and her partner Tammy, Granddaughter Elizabeth (Chad Walker), Grandson Mark, and two Great-Grandchildren (Bradley and Kinsley).
