Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Clifford Less, and his brother Mike Less. He is survived by sisters Sue (Blaine) Berger and Diane Less (Brett Denton), along with special aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jerry was born in Dubuque, Iowa. He attended the University of Wyoming where he earned a degree in Manufacturing Technology. Jerry held many positions in the construction industry before settling in Loveland, CO where he has worked for Golden Triangle Construction for the past 25 years as a Commercial Building Superintendent.
I'm sure anyone who knew Jerry learned or took something from him, ultimately to better their lives. He was a master craftsman, a jack-of-all-trades and the most self-sufficient man in our modern world -- a rare find. He was a man of his word, and his handshake was as good as gold.
Jerry found purpose fulfilling his role as devoted husband and as a father and mentor to his two sons. He taught his boys immeasurable lessons in life that will live on for generations. Jerry was an outdoorsman, and he was never more in his element than when he was hunting with his two boys or working on one of their many projects. He truly could have lived off the land and utilized his resourcefulness in everyday life.
Jerry lived and worked each day and never let the cancer define him. He was the best husband and the perfect father. You always knew where you stood with Jerry. He was not a crowd-follower, and he did not mince words. He displayed to everyone the love and beauty of honesty and integrity. He defined perseverance and true grit. Jerry was the real deal.
