She was 65 years old, and she filled every one of those years with love, laughter, and a deep devotion to the people she cared about.
Born in Denver on New Year’s Eve, Julie had a spark that never faded. She was a talented hairstylist who made people feel beautiful, but her real gift was making people feel loved.
Julie loved her family fiercely. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she never missed a chance to cheer them on—whether it was at the park, dance recital, volleyball match or ice rink. She found peace in the afternoons and evenings, sitting on the porch with Rick and their puppy Maggie, watching baby foxes play in the field. She loved summer BBQs, road trips to South Dakota, and escapes to the mountains. And when it came to food, she had favorites—manicotti (only with the right sauce) and pork avocado tacos were at the top of the list. Sleepovers with her grandchildren were some of her favorite moments—filled with laughter, popcorn, and late night movies that went way past bedtime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Anna Ehrlich, and her former husband, Russ Jordanger. Julie leaves behind loving husband Rick Lockman and son Danny Lockman: her daughters Lindsey Jordanger (with husband Mike) and Jamie Stewart (with husband Austin); her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Leslie Ehrlich; and her adored grandchildren, Logan and Ameila Bennet, and Harper Stewart—who were truly the lights of her life.
We’ll be celebrating Julie’s life on Sunday, October 19th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at CB & Potts, 1441 East Horsetooth Road in Fort Collins. If you knew Julie, you knew love. Come share stories, hugs, and maybe a few tears as we remember the incredible woman she was.
Julie’s legacy is one of warmth, loyalty, and kindness. She gave everything to her family, and her love will live on in all of us.
