Lee Raymond Meyer, age 33, born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 2, 1989, son to Doug and Jill Meyer, and husband to Jade Meyer. He sadly left this earthly life on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the University of Colorado Hospital. He had a long, strong, warrior-filled battle with Hemophagocytic Lymphocytosis, Large B Cell Lymphoma and Sepsis.
Lee spent his years growing up in Bright, Indiana. He had many great friends who he ran around with and spent much time with. He graduated from East Central High School in 2007 and pursued studies that inevitably led to Environmental Engineering at Cincinnati State. He beforehand tried his luck at Graphic Design, but for some reason it just wasn’t for Lee. Cincinnati State is where he met the love of his life, Jade. Jade and Lee met in a wastewater treatment course talking on class breaks and having many courses together that led to their relationship.
Lee moved to Colorado with his parents and was shortly followed by Jade to live out his true dreams and be where his spirit belonged, the great outdoors. After he earned his degree from Colorado State University in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability, he started working at Horsetooth Reservoir where he kept invasive mussel species out of the waterways. Working at Horsetooth ultimately led Lee to Albert’s Water and Wastewater, where Jade ended up working and Lee and Jade became owners in 2022. It’s ironic that Jade and Lee met in a wastewater treatment course and wound up owning a business of that nature.
Jade and Lee were married October 12, 2018 and dreamed of many things. Lee and Jade wished to travel the world together, see all the national parks, build a life that was full of fun and adventure together. They did this for the time they had with their favorite trip being seeing all 5 National Parks of Utah. Lee leaves behind his fur baby Luna, along with Jade. Jade is inspired by the strength, gentility, and warrior mentality of Lee that he inspires her to live out of her comfort zone and accomplish substantial undertakings.
Outside of work, Lee spent much of his time playing guitar with his best friend Tony, hiking on trails with Jade and Luna, exploring different areas by traveling and camping, drinking a good brew with Colton and spending good quality time making memories with family and friends alike. Lee enjoyed embracing the small things in life, bringing out the best in Jade and himself. Lee was always inquisitive to building new animal habitats, learning new skills, drawing outstanding art and taking beautiful nature photos.
To honor Lee’s memory, we are holding a celebration of life on January 13, 2023 at 1:00pm at Allnutt Funeral Service (650 W Drake Rd Fort Collins, CO 80526). We invite anyone who knew him to attend and remember his wonderful life.
