

Linda was born on September 20, 1949, in Brush, Colorado, to Robert Enfante and Aleatha Neuschwanger. She was raised in Fort Morgan, where she enjoyed an active childhood filled with biking, swimming, and water skiing. Known for her social and vibrant personality, Linda cherished time spent with family and friends.
After graduating from Fort Morgan High School, Linda moved to Fort Collins, where she began her adult life. She married Duane Hergenreter, and together they adopted two children, Curt and Ann. The family lived on a farm, where Linda embraced family life.
She later married Paul Douglas Busby, and they had two more children, Tyson and Carrie. During this time, Linda dedicated herself to raising her children and creating a warm, loving home.
After living in California and Pennsylvania for a short time, Linda returned to Fort Collins, where she remained for the rest of her life. She later pursued higher education at Front Range Community College earning an Associates of Applied Science and later her Bachelor of Science in Business Management at the University of Phoenix, and going on to work as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager at Woodward. She was known professionally for her dedication, warmth, and genuine care for others.
Linda had a deep love for travel and the outdoors. She explored much of the United States, always seeking new experiences and making memories along the way. She especially loved visiting the ocean, where she collected seashells, as well as spending time in the mountains camping, fishing, and boating. She enjoyed collecting rocks and capturing special moments through her photography, always wanting to preserve the memories she was making.
Her greatest joy was her family. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother who never missed an opportunity to support her loved ones. She took pride in attending her grandchildren’s sports games, school events, and holiday celebrations, always striving to be the best “Nana.” She also shared a special bond with her younger sister, Carol, creating many cherished memories together full of laugher and fun.
Linda valued her independence and was especially proud of her home on “the hill,” where countless family memories were made. She showed those around her that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. She was known for her generosity, strength, kindness, and the positive energy that naturally drew people to her. She was a mother figure to many, always offering support, encouragement, and a listening ear.
She is survived by her children: Ann Hergenreter – husband, Cory Carritt; Curt Hergenreter; Paul Tyson Busby and Carrie Busby. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Blake Busby – wife Molly Busby; Hailey Busby; Brady Busby, and Trey Wright; and great-grandchildren: Baisley and Cayenne. She is further survived by her siblings: Steven Enfante -wife, Becky of Fort Morgan and Carol Cox – husband, Jesse of Windsor and step sisters: Marilyn Dick of Brush and Carolyn Brown – husband Dave of Longmont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Enfante and Aleatha Neuschwanger, and her brother, David Enfante.
A celebration of life will be held on May 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1825 Cherry Blossom Drive, Windsor, Colorado.
