

Died peacefully on March 8, 2018. Linus was born on June 14, 1930, to Joseph and Mary Wasinger in Victoria, Kansas, where he grew up. He was the youngest of 10 siblings. He attended St. Fidelis Church and school where he graduated in 1949. Linus was in the Army and served in Korea from 1951 to 1953 with the 17th Infantry Regiment of the 7th Infantry Divisions. Linus married Donna Brull in 1952 in Hays, Kansas. After he was discharged, Linus and Donna moved to Mankato, Minnesota, were they lived for 15 years until they moved to Loveland and Ft. Collins, Colorado, where they made their life together with their five children and two grandchildren. Linus worked hard his whole life until his body was no longer able. He worked at The Continental Can Company for 15 years and later at Woodward Governor for 24 years. He also volunteered as a firefighter. After retirement, Linus and Donna started a company together doing lawn maintenance and tree trimming. Linus was very handy; he built a tree house, a camper, and many other projects for his children over the years. Linus and Donna fostered 42 children over a period of 37 years. Throughout Linus’s life, he also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, taking his family on vacations, and teaching his children the importance of working hard and helping others. Linus will be remembered for the many life lessons through the stories he told about his life.
Linus is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, one sister, Millie, and nine brothers, Dale, Felix, Clarence, Frank, Mike, Johnny, Julius, and a set of twin boys that died at birth.
Linus will be missed by many friends and family.
