Lois Starr Lambert, born on May 23, 1945, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. In her final stages, Lois was in a care facility where her devoted husband of 58 years, Farrel, faithfully visited to care for her and advocate on her behalf, remaining by her side through her final moments.
Lois was the devoted wife of Farrel Lambert and a loving sister to Joseph Felger (Carol). She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Enguidanos (Robert), Victoria Lambert, and Paul Lambert (Lisa Summerville). Lois took on the role of a mother figure to two of her grandchildren, Reace and Cameron Lambert, providing them with unconditional love, guidance, and stability. She was a cherished grandmother to Aidan Garcia (Anthony), William Heron (Sarah), Victoria Glick (Aaron), Reace Lambert (Hadley), Belen Enguidanos, Evan Enguidanos, Cameron Lambert, Andrew Lambert, Blythe Gottsch, and Garrett Lambert (Dakota), and the proud great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren.
Lois’s warmth and generosity extended to her entire family, creating deep bonds with her nieces, nephews, and in-laws, all of whom she treasured greatly. Her love for family was boundless, and she found joy in every relationship she nurtured.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnestine and Richard Felger; her sisters, Audrey Mercer and Joyce Elsass; and her brother, Robert Eaton.
After graduating from Ashland High School, Lois attended Morehead State University in Kentucky. She later returned to Ashland, where she met and married the love of her life, Farrel. Their life together was filled with adventure and love as they moved through the years. During Farrel’s Naval career, they were stationed in Ohio, Virginia, and California. After his service, they lived in Texas and Arizona before relocating to Colorado eight years ago, where they began a new chapter of life.
Lois was a woman of many talents, known especially for her incredible gift in toll painting. She filled her home with beautiful treasures and shared her artistic talents with others. One of her most beloved projects was the beautiful mural she painted in the nursery of her church, a lasting gift that brought joy to many. Above all, Lois’s greatest passion was her family. She was a constant source of love, warmth, and support, dedicating her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Her legacy of creativity, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Allnutt Funeral Services, Drake Road Chapel, on October 13, 2024, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a light luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the REID Foundation (Reaching Everyone in Distress), founded by her beloved nephew Rex Elsass. The foundation provides support and healing for those struggling with mental health and substance abuse through music and the arts, as well as funding research into emerging treatments for addiction and mental health—efforts that reflect Lois’s compassionate and creative spirit. https://www.reid.foundation/
