Lydia Josephine Gonzales, 66, of Greeley, formerly of Loveland passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Centennial Healthcare Center in Greeley after fighting leukemia. She was born on November 22, 1942 in Johnstown, CO, to Joe F. and Francis (Cruz) Olivas. Lydia enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and home decorating. Most of all, she loved to go shopping. She was very beautiful with a big heart and very loved by her family and friends. We will all miss her deeply. She is survived by her sons, Raymond of Greeley, Frank and Chris, both of Arizona; daughters, Janet and Teresa of Loveland; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; also survived by brothers; John of Greeley, Stanley of Gilcrest, Jerry and Tobey of Loveland and sisters Margie of Evans and JoAnn of Loveland, and a niece Benida who has been a great support and comfort to Lydia and family; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, 2 aunts, and 1 uncle.She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister, and triplet baby brothers.Memorial services will be held 1 pm Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland.
