

Marilyn June (Taylor) Johnson, age 93, of Windsor, Colorado passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Marilyn was born on October 1st, 1931, in Rockford, Illinois to Leonard H. and Florence (Ward) Taylor.
Marilyn enjoyed a career with Colorado State University, as the athletic department coordinator. Her job was not only interesting, but she also enjoyed the games and the travel that went with it. When she 'retired,' she started to work with the Aspen Club, as a tour guide out of Poudre Valley Hospital. She did that for 10 years, before she finally quit. Then, she enjoyed her time with her husband Melvin and traveling, especially when they went to Alaska.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She loved shopping.

Marilyn is predeceased by her parents Leonard and Florence; brother Asa W. Taylor; husbands Bob Wainwright; Red Kinney; Melvin Johnson, daughter Marcy Wainwright; and grandson Nicholas Taylor McCollough.
She is survived by her son Bruce Wainwright (Faith), of Saratoga, WY, her grandchildren Elise Strachila, Tyler Montgomery and Casey Montgomery; 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews.
A private burial will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Collins, CO in the future.
