Max Herbert Moyer, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Max was born on January 14th, 1934, in Glen Elder, KS to Elmer and Bessie Moyer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1960 and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge from1974 - 2024.
Max worked as a barber for 46 years. From 1984 - 2000 he owned Max’s Barbershop in Old Town Ft. Collins. He retired in 2016. In 1992 he married his wife, Katherine (Kitty).
Max never met a stranger and was happy to strike up a conversation with everyone he met. He enjoyed fishing, horses, going to the mountains, and many road trips. He enjoyed spending time with family most of all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Marvin Moyer, his grandson Christopher (Rebekah) Gardner, and his great-granddaughter Nevaeh Schilling. He is survived by his wife Kitty Moyer, his brothers Henry Moyer and Melvin Moyer, his daughter Shari Monsees, his stepchildren Butch Gardner and Brenda Gardner, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
