She attended school in Alexandria, Nebraska, graduated High School there and continued on to teach students in that same one room schoolhouse.
Pauline married Charles Edward Cooper at Bellville, Kansas on December 3, 1943. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1989.
Early on, Pauline and Charles lived in various cities near military bases as he was a butcher for military officer’s mess. While Charles was overseas, Pauline lived near family in Nebraska.
They called Fairbury, Nebraska home, since their married life started there and their two daughters were born there.
After military service and returning to family activities around Nebraska City, Fairbury, and Hebron, Nebraska, Pauline and Charles moved to Boulder, Colorado for his job in 1958. Pauline worked for Neo Data and Montgomery Wards in Boulder. She attended and graduated beauty school with her daughter, Charlette. She was proud of her cosmetology license and held it until recent years. She favored styling her husband’s hair-do, of course we all knew that he didn’t have much hair.
Grandchildren and homemaking became her passion in life; she was one of the most doting grandmas in history. Aside from that, as a hobby she created all sorts of household decorations and novelties of resin for all the family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Cooper; her parents, Ernest and Naomi Frades, and an infant brother, Ernest Lowell Frades.
She is survived by daughters, Charlette Mahan and Archie of Loveland; Donna Heufel and Carl of Greeley, CO; a sister, Maxine Hudson of California; several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm today at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.
