Patrice Kelley

Born on May 1st, 1946 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, Patrice was the only child of Floyd Francis and Esther Mae Kelley, who precede her in death. While growing up in Fort Pierre, Patty, as she was known back then, helped out and worked at the two restaurants owned by her parents. She gained valuable life experience. She studied print layout at a vocational in school in the 80s and later studied at Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, Colorado. She worked in several different professions throughout her life including owning a construction cleaning business and doing home health care. In 1990, Patrice made northern Colorado her home.

Patrice was a loving mother to four children: Ginny, James, Sara, and Alex. She cared very deeply for her children. As a mother, she was very supportive. She was always willing, and available, to help her children anytime they needed her. She shared with them her love of the Gospel and instilled in them the values of family and faith.

Patrice was kind and loved helping people. She was very involved at Vintage City Church and tried her best to live her life in Christ’s example. She loved to stay busy. Anyone that knew Patrice would say that she had more energy than anyone half her age. Patrice loved to write. She had dozens and dozens of journals and notebooks. Above all, Patrice loved the Lord and lived her life knowing she would spend eternity with Him.

Patrice is survived by her daughter Ginny Villers (Brian), and her son Alex Flom (Arielle). She was adored by her grandchildren Gavin, Ripley, Ian, Elijah, Ezra, River, & Soren, as well as many other children she considered her grandkids. She was also loved by the Flom family, her extended family in Texas, and anyone who called her grandma Patrice or Mimi, as well as many special friends too numerous to list.

Along with her parents, Patrice is greeted in Heaven by her daughter, Sara Sherwood who passed away in 2005, and by her son, James Flom who passed away in 2023.

A Celebration of Patrice’s Life will be held on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 at 1:00pm at Vintage City Church in Fort Collins. Burial ceremonies will be held privately. Treasured memories of Patrice and words of kindness and condolence for her family are welcome at resthavencolorado.com.
